NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC EXPEDITIONS

Expeditions

Reimagined National Geographic Expeditions as a scalable identity system rooted in immersive exploration, expertise, and storytelling. Presenting a unified travel brand across cruise, land, family, and private jet experiences.

National Geographic Expeditions spans cruise, land, family, and private jet travel, and each of those offerings had grown its own look, tone, and vocabulary. The creative challenge was to unify a fragmented travel portfolio under one identity that still felt unmistakably National Geographic — expedition-led, expert-guided, and grounded in real exploration rather than generic luxury tourism.

The approach started with a system rather than a set of layouts. I defined a flexible motion and typographic framework — title cards, lower thirds, transitions, and end pages — that could be rebuilt for any destination, sub-brand, or channel without losing coherence. Photography and footage were treated as the hero, with type and graphic structure acting as a quiet frame around the story rather than competing with it.

The result is a scalable brand system for travel marketing: on-air and social cutdowns, brochure and campaign templates, and a brand manual that lets internal teams and outside partners produce new work that still reads as one brand. The design direction favors immersion, credibility, and storytelling over hard-sell promotion.
