DEADLIEST WEEK EVER

Deadliest Week Ever

Cel animation and a minimal, striking color palette framed the world’s deadliest predators through a bold visual language that balanced danger, beauty, and suspense.

Deadliest Week Ever was a Nat Geo Wild stunt week built around apex predators. The challenge was tonal — the content is genuinely dangerous, but the event needed to feel like appointment viewing rather than shock television, and it had to stand apart from every other predator-themed programming block.

The approach used cel animation and a deliberately minimal color palette to reframe predators as graphic icons. Illustration created distance from stock wildlife footage and let danger, beauty, and suspense coexist without gore, while the limited palette made the week instantly identifiable across bumpers, promos, and social assets.

That animated visual language gave the stunt a cohesive identity that could be extended to new animals and episodes without rebuilding the design from scratch.
